How To Post Logs
From Four Color Comics MUX
This page details the process for posting scene logs and news posts to our wiki.
Logs
All log pages must be titled in the following format: 20xx-xx-xx - Title. For example, if you ran a plot on August 4th, 2009, about sentient monstrous fruit, you might call the page 2009-08-04 - Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes.
To post a log, type the title into the box below:
When you've filled out the template, it will create a box like this one:
| Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Summary: Killer tomatoes attack New York City. | |||
|
Then you can copy/paste and edit the log into the new page. Save when you're done!
Note that it's helpful to provide links to character pages in the 'Who' field. Do this by putting double brackets around each name, as in [[Laserbolt Lass]] or [[Goliath Beetle]] above.
The base template is here, if you ever need it.
{{Logsummary|
Title=
|Summary=
|Who=
|Date=
|Where=
|}}
Media Articles
Media Articles should be titled the same way as logs, but preceded by the proper initials from our Article Key. For example, if the aforementioned scene also had a news post, it might be called NYT: 2009-08-04 - Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes.
Media Articles use the following template:
{{Article
|Title=
|Date=
|Reporter=
|Article=
|}}
Make sure to put the text of the news post in the 'article' field. When you've filled out the template, it will create an article like this one:
Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes
August 4th, 2009
Wolf Blitzer for CNN
Today tomatoes attacked Midtown Manhattan... (the article continues from here)
Save the page and you're all set!
